Gas trucks reduce up to 100% emission

Los Volvo gas trucks They are a transport solution with reduction of up to 100% CO₂ emissions.

Gas trucks represent a solution increasingly used by transport companies to reduce their CO₂ footprint, since carbon emissions can decrease up to 100% renewable fuels are used. Volvo gas truck demand has increased by more than 25% in 2024.

The global demand for gas trucks continues to grow and Volvo Trucks has sold more than 8,000 units worldwide. During 2024, sales increased 25%, with the main markets in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom. Swedish brand gas engines are available in FM, FH and FH Aero models, and can without problems between biogas (non -fossil gas produced from organic waste) and conventional LMP (natural liquefied gas gas).

Volvo to gas trucks can travel up to 1,000 kilometers, which makes them suitable for long -distance transport tasks, regional distribution and even construction. They represent a viable alternative to other low -emission vehicles, already

Several countries already have a wide network of gas service stations and access to biogas continues to grow. The global biogas production increased by 21% by 2024. This means that there is the possibility of reducing CO2 emissions up to 100% for a significant volume of users.

In markets with tax incentives and subsidies for renewable fuels and low emissions, biogas is a profitable solution compared to diesel. Even conventional LNG reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 20% compared to diesel trucks.

This is how Volvo’s gas trucks

Volvo offers gas technology based on its D13 diesel engine, one of the best -selling, which guarantees a performance comparable to that of a diesel truck, but with less CO₂ emissions.

CO₂ reduction with gas trucks

Diesel moving to LNG (liquefied natural gas) reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 20%. Using biogas/Bio-GNL instead of diesel reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 100% (“Wheel well”). Bio-GNL occurs from domestic, agricultural and wastewater waste. It has the same performance, storage and refueling method as conventional LNG.

Volvo offers models to FM, FH and FH Aero in 4×2, 6×2 and 6×4 tractor/rigid configurations, certificates for loads of up to 60 tons.

The Volvo G13 LNG engine, based on the D13 Euro 6 diesel engine, is available in three power levels: 420 hp/ 2100 Nm, 460 hp/ 2300 Nm and 500 hp/ 2500 nm.
