Official of the DIRESA involved in case Qali Warma was not yet administratively sanctioned by the institution.

Jaime Uriarte, in charge of the Human Resources Office of the Regional Directorate (DIRESA) Puno, reported that Ronald Loza Machicao He had been performing in the office of said entity, after having been removed from his previous position as responsible for the Food Hygiene and Safety Unit of the Executive Directorate of Environmental Health. This relocation occurred after the discovery of alleged cover -up acts related to the poisoning of several minors who consumed breakfast of the Qali Warma program.

Uriarte said that, given these facts, a sanctioning administrative against the investigated began, which has not yet concluded. As explained, it is waiting for the final report that must be issued by the Technical Secretariat, so that the sanctioning body can make a decision. He indicated that said report must be submitted within a maximum period of fifteen days and that, given the seriousness of the case, a severe sanction could be contemplated, such as dismissal.

The official also mentioned that the delay in the investigation is due, in part, to the constant changes of directors in the entity, which has affected the continuity of the process. He assured that the investigation is being carried out impartially by the Technical Secretariat, and added that Ronald Loza Machicao remained in the Insurance Office until May 5, after which its rotation was scheduled to another area within the institution.
