The Governing Board has approved the signing of the Collaboration Agreement, between the Ministry of Presidency and the City Council of Totana, for the provision of the Forest fire Prevention and Extinction Service by 2025/2026, and the availability of the components of the Civil Protection group for the performance of said surveillance.
At present, the Autonomous Community has an Emergency Civil Protection Plan for Forest Fire (Infomur Plan), which aims to establish the hierarchical and functional organization, as well as the procedures for the action of resources and services in order to protect people, goods and the environment, given the risk of forest fires.
Totana has at your disposal a twenty volunteer who can reinforce the public professional infrastructure of fire surveillance and prevention, in mobile surveillance and detention positions in accordance with the operation of the Information Plan for the period of April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 and support professionals in logistics extinction work, when required for this, under the orders and instruction of the administration. acting.
The City Council undertakes to comply with the specifications of the Infomur Plan, among which is to complete the daily land mobile surveillance actions through Civil Protection volunteers, make available to the General Directorate of Security and Citizen vehicles to be used in assigned forest surveillance.
The Ministry of Presidency will contribute the minimum amount of 6,000 euros to cover the reimbursement of the expenses that are caused to Civil Protection volunteers for carrying out the land mobile surveillance actions provided for the Infomur Plan, such as maintenance, fuel, repairs, where appropriate, of the vehicle and replacement of uniformity elements.
For its part, the City Council will make available to the Plan Civil Protection (20 members of the group) and the assigned forest surveillance vehicles: Ford Maverick; 4×4; Nissan Pikup; Volkswagen Caddy; Mercedes Vito and Trailer of 2000 liters of water for human use and available for risk and supply situations in areas with difficulty.
