A rock sliding impacted the Ucrumarca Health Center, in Freedomand left a deceased patient and two injured workers, as confirmed by the Regional Emergency Operations Center (COER). According to the authorities, the collapse was caused by the intense rains that hit the region.

The deadly victim was identified as Mayra Jara Trujillo. As for injured people, it is an obstetrician and a nursing technique, who were fulfilling functions at the time of the incident.
After what happened, the Emergency Mobile Care Service (SAMU) arrived at the scene to provide immediate attention. The obstetrician was transferred to the Tayabamba hospital due to the seriousness of their injuries, but the nursing technique was not referred to another establishment.
The Public Ministry also went to the Health Center to carry out the lifting of the body according to the current legal protocols.
So far, the Regional Health Management (Geresa) of La Libertad has not issued official information about possible damage to the infrastructure of the establishment or if there will be suspension of medical care services in the area.
For its part, the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Peru (Senamhi) issued an alert on the continuity of rainfall in the region.
