The interest in plastic surgery among the graduates or graduates in medicine who approved last January the MIR exam made this specialty again the first of the Hubu-and of Burgos- to exhaust its two places. In two cases the positions were chosen by two of the 500 doctors with the best note in the test that opens the doors to the exercise in Spanish public Health: 285 and 447. The election, however, continues today, from number 700 and until 1,300, according to official information of the Ministry of Health.
The Hubu has another 46 places look at this call, with a record offer in Burgos thanks to the increase in the teaching capacity of the hospital, with the authorization to form, for the first time, a microbiologist and a radiophysical (see attached explodes). In primary care, on the other hand, the offer has not increased, because the objective is to cover the 41 accredited positions, which are the same that were made available to the MIR last year and were vacant. Yesterday, as happened in previous editions, Primary did not attract any interested party in specializing in family and community medicine, so it has the full offer.
This circumstance, however, is generalized in the community: no province of Castilla y León awarded places to exercise in health centers. In the five provinces in which there were awards was for hospital specialties: Salamanca, León, Valladolid, Burgos and Zamora. In the latter case, unusual because small hospitals do not usually have demand on the first day of choice, psychiatry was chosen.
