Reina Sofía Hospital, distinguished by their work on patients treated with biological drugs

The Reina Sofía Hospital Pharmacy has been awarded the National Prize in the seventh edition of ‘Farmaimpulso 2025’, a reference meeting organized by the Johnson & Johnson laboratory with the endorsement of the Society of Hospital Pharmacy.

The -winning , entitled “Stratify-PK Score: Predictive for the stratification of the risk of pharmacokinetic failure in patients treated with anti-TNF”, proposes a tool to support clinical decision making that allows anticipating the risk of therapeutic failure in patients treated with biological drugs.

This recognition shows the commitment of the pharmacy service with research, scientific excellence and continuous improvement in pharmacotherapeutic care, consolidating its role in the of personalized medicine strategies based on clinical pharmacokinetics.

Last year, the Reina Sofía Hospital Pharmacy Service was distinguished with the prize in the Farmaimpulso 2024 National Contest for its work ‘Implementation of a high -resolution biological drug monitoring service: Towards a precision medicine in patients with immunomedized diseases’. This work system represents a significant in the care of patients with inflammatory diseases mediated by the immune system and allows to adjust the doses with real - precision, which guarantees an optimal response and gain efficiency in treatments.
