New York – Carlos Santana was forced to postpone a concert at Majestic Theater in San Antonio due to health problems.
The Oneness tour of the guitar virtuoso began on April 16 in Highland, California, in the Yaamava ‘Resort & Casino in San Manuel.
Santana suffered dehydration on Tuesday, according to a statement that her manager, Michael Vrionis, provided The Associated Press.
“Mr. Santana was in the place (Majestic Theater) preparing for the show tonight when he experienced an event that was determined as dehydration. By precaution and for the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent action,” said Vrionis.
-“He is well and hopes to return to San Antonio soon, as well as continue his tour of the United States. Thank you all for his understanding. The show will be reprogrammed soon,” added the manager in the statement.
The Mexican guitarist still has scheduled to act in Sugar Land, Texas, on Wednesday night, in Thackerville, Oklahoma, Friday and Tulsa, Oklahoma, Saturday.
Next week, he has scheduled presentations in Nashville and in the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival before heading to Las Vegas for his residence “An Intimate Evening With Santana: Greatest Hits Live.”
Earlier this month, Santana told the AP that fans could expect “a lot of energy and freshness, and high consciousness, hope and courage” of his Oneness tour.
