The twenty -fourth festival that invites Parisians and visitors not to sleep for free of museums and shows will be consecrated to the seventh art, in particular to honor the first paid public session of the Lumière brothers, on December 28, 1895 in the living room of the Great Café de Paris.
According to the artistic head of the White Night 2025, the actress and director Valérie Donzelli, the intention is to transform the city of light into a large film platform, with more than a thousand outdoor initiatives and in Salas.
She considered the night as a space of resistance and creative freedom, in contrast to “the prison world of the day.”
The outdoor presentation of films in several squares of the French capital stand out among the planned projects, where the filmmakers will be the protagonists.
Delphine Seyrig Films, Alice Guy, Germaine Dulac, Chantal Akerman, Agnès Varda and Jacqueline Aubry will be projected in Parisian public spaces already selected.
