Trans women in the United Kingdom have been under scrutiny in recent weeks, after the judges of the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that a woman is defined by her biological sex.

Victoria McCloud, the only judge in the United Kingdom who has publicly said that it is trans, plans to take the British before the European Court of Rights for the ruling that, he says, violates his human rights.

For his part, Judge Lord Hodge said that the decision should not be seen as a triumph on one side over the other and emphasized that the law still provides protection against discrimination against transgender people.
