Mexico City. Federal elements arrested on Monday in Jalisco to María del Rosario Navarro Sánchez, alleged operator of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG), who is sought by US justice for drug trafficking crimes – as the fentanyl – and for the smuggling of millionaire shipments of firearms to supply the criminal organization to which he is bound.
Together with the woman, a subject identified as Moses Navarro Orozco was also arrested.
María del Rosario is pointed out by US authorities as responsible for the purchase and transfer of weapons towards the state of Jalisco. In addition, it has an arrest warrant for the crime of conspiracy to coordinate the delivery of methamphetamine and fentanyl pills from Mexico to the United States, through the border entry ports of El Paso, Texas.
The woman is required by the Federal Court of the Western District of Texas for crimes of arms trafficking, narcotics, people and money laundering. According to investigations, he coordinated the acquisition of firearms valued in more than seven million dollars, in addition to sending narcotics to US territory.
Both María del Rosario and Moisés Navarro were apprehended at an address located in the El Llano neighborhood, in Magdalena, Jalisco, by elements of the SSPC, Marina, FGR, Sedena and National Guard. Allegedly, they were assured of a long weapon, a short weapon, various doses of drugs and communication equipment.
The Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico reported that the operation was the result of the exchange of information with the alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives (ATF) and the Federal Bureau of Research (FBI) of the United States.
