- Mexico will prioritize the reconduction of the treated water of the arturo herrera and the morita plants towards the Abelardo Rodríguez dam, avoiding its discharge to the Tijuana River.
- The US will advance two years the expansion of the Pitar treatment plant in San Ysidro, California, with the goal of concluding in 2027.
- Temporarily expand the ability of South Bay International Plant25 to 35 million gallons daily, during the expansion stage of a new plant.
- Maintain a transparent technical and institutional collaboration, avoiding unilateral misinformation or statements.
Regarding the International Treatment Plant in South Bay, San Ysidro, Lee Zeldin promised to accelerate the times to be completed before 2027, since it would completely solve the sanitation of the discharges of the Tijuana River on the beaches of California.
