The Delegation of the Government of Catalonia in Mexico prepares a great celebration to the book, which originated everything, commemorating the Sant Jordi dayin which, for more than a hundred years, every April 23, the Catalans take to the streets to buy books and roses to give their loved ones.
And it was through the Union of Catalan publishers and booksellers that in 1995 was requested and the approval of UNESCO was achieved to declare April 23 as World Book Day.
In this way, this year the Delegation of Catalonia in Mexico announced its alliance with bookstores The pendulumUNAM culture, Tonalá Cinema and a dozen restaurants to offer at their venues or a rich offer of Catalan authors books, with a gift rose; Catalan film projections, a conversation about exile, this on Friday, April 25 at Book and Rose Festivaland even a tasting menu in participating restaurants.
