‘Infernal possession’: premiere date of the new saga movie

The iconic horror saga Infernal possession (Evil Dead) prepare your return to the big screen with a new installment entitled Evil Dead Burnwhich already has an official release date: on July 24, 2026.

Warner Bros and New Line have confirmed that the film will be directed by Sébastien Vaničekresponsible for the fantastic “Vermin: La Plague”, and will feature the actress Souheila Yacoub -Vista recently in “Dune: part two”- as the main protagonist.

Evil Dead Burn It is the fifth installment of the franchise after the success of “infernal possession: the awakening” in 2023 and the remake directed by Fede Álvarez in 2013. The script has been co -written by Vaniček himself next to Florent Bernard, although the concrete details of the plot remain secret.

Vaniček himself has advanced that his vision for the film will be especially intense: “I want to make an unpleasant movie, a movie that hurts, from which you go to the test”. In addition, he has assured that he will put “all the horror inside” in this new installment, promising a cathartic experience for both the public and himself.

The franchise strategy, led by Sam Raimi -Creader of the original saga-, is to trust emerging directors to contribute new perspectives to the universe of deadites. This formula has already demonstrated its effectiveness with the previous deliveries, allowing each film to have its own identity within the same universe.

In addition to Evil Dead BurnGhost House Pictures has confirmed that there is another film in the developing saga, directed by Francis Galluppi (“The Last Stop in Yuma County”), although for now no more details are known about this parallel project.
