Lindemann began as a project composed of Till Lindemann (Germany) and Peter Tägtgrenleader of Hypocrisy and Pain. However, the duo dissolved its association and currently the project is typical of the Rammstein frontman.
Born in Leipzig, Germany, Till Lindemann grew up in Wendisch-Rambow. Son of the writer Werner Lindemann and the journalist Gitta Lindemann, stood out as a youth swimmer, competing in European championships. An injury separated him from sport and marked the beginning of his musical path.
In 1994, Richard Z. Kruspe invited him to join Rammsteinband with which he has reached recognition worldwide. It is also qualified pyrotechnic, since he trained with a team of professionals to handle the entire band’s fire show and minimize the accident risks.
Before his success, he worked by manufacturing wicker baskets and played the battery in a punk group. He is also a poet, author of the book “Messer” (2002).
