“We always had contact, we have known each other for many years. Actually, we met through music and from music, so there is always that connector loop, but we also share other moments: for example, we go out at night to have fun, or we get together to share roasted or other social issues. The requirement is always with, of course through music”He argues.

After a decade without being together on tables, the band that commands Joaquín made his reappearance through a video clip filmed in the Rodney, a cult bar in front of the Chacarita cemetery, where all the vernacular rock is still housed, despite the passage of .

“The video of The Rockola We filmed it there in the Rodney. She is very crazy, because in that my brother Gabriel and I was accompanied by Chiquito. I even think I started playing live there. And then, it extends its foundation about the filming in that rock bar: “For those reasons that I mention, it was copied to us there, as to portray our origins, this to return to the roots, to return with triggers. In turn, which we offer a little goes in parallel: We make a classic rock and reflects that spirit with which we this musical and life path that we choose”.

An emblematic place

Harry Igualador, one of the owners of the Rodney today, continues to command as a fundamental host for today’s musicians, as well as those of yesterday, where Gabriel “Bambino” Carámbula, older brother of Joaquín, among other consecrated Argentine rock consecrated.

“I played with my brother Gabriel and we shared with a lot of musicians, with colleagues from the musical field, such as Pity Álvarez, who seems to me a spectacular artist, just like Charly García. There were many nights in there, very fun with well -known and unknown musicians in this great path that is rock.”

For that same space they also directed Norberto “Pappo” Napolitanoof whom the youngest son of Berugo – who died in 2015 – is considered a fan since he had use of .

“I was not lucky to meet the carp. Viticthey were both together. We had stopped loading gasoline. That was all. But I keep many anecdotes that my brother tells and my dad told, with whom he did have a lot of treatment. And at one point, I feel his , or sorry family, even if I don’t live. It is a great musical influence for me. Argentina’s rock guitarists have a lot of Pappo. He is our great . ”

On the side of his guitarist brother, who knew how to shine strongly with Hot dogs -Bonda that accompanied at some point to Fabiana Cantilo In his solo road-Joaquín worships him through affectionate words.

My brother has been and remains an important influence for me, both in his things and in his bad things, Because I learn everything. This is our relationship, because we also continue to be brothers, with all that means that. With Gabriel we love each other very much. We are in this life to accompany and support each other, ”he emphasizes.

Of course, Joaco, as friends and family nickname, has his own vision and experience within a family of artists.

“Mine is a very ‘flashera’ family, funny, funny. I keep very nice memories of family . It was like always being in a kind of amusement park. I lived everything like being inside a movie. And, obviously, it was also always a very musical family, ”he says.

And then focus on his , as a great crucial reference: “Dad played the guitar, the banjo, the bass and several more instruments. My brother also: a barbaric guitarist of rock. And well, those things mark you. Beyond that they did not give me guitar . But they heard them, being in contact with them, I realized what is said about what is carried in the blood is very accurate. I feel like that. ”

Although the musician also highlights other aspects that nourish him outside the family: “There are also other great influences in me, which one is learning, who are different people and different disciplines. -And how is your relationship with Maria, your sister?

-When you can, Maria comes to see us. It comes when we don’t play so late. My sister is a person’s love. We talk a lot and see each other when we can. In addition, we talked about dad memories in life, of beautiful things about him. I do not know so many people from their environment, but to greet them; For example, on birthdays. Because my friends are rock, life and .

The first guitar and affection for dad

Because it is the child’s child, his privilege was that of containment, from all angles.

“Being the youngest, I always received a very careful deal. A little I rebelled before that, I am not going to deny it. Until my first guitar came that was a Stratocaster. No, no! Now I remember that the first was a Creole! Then came the red electric!

Another aspect of relevance in the singer’s and guitarist had to do with the family difficulties that occurred, although they always radiated love around them, in addition to music.

“My separated when I was a boy. Jazz was heard in Dad in eighty percent and the other twenty percent was other styles: from the bossa nova, tango, classical music and blues. Of the jazzers, Wes Mongromery sounded important”.

-How was it going out with Berugo, your father?

-When I was a boy, when we went out with dad to walk somewhere, People stopped it a lot in the street, always with too much affection, with much love and respect. And Dad always stopped to greet people, signed autographs or took pictures. Dad had very good vibes with people. My old man is always remembered with a smile for all.

Another facet that treasures his childhood is the presence of celebrities who approached the intimate .

“A actors came home, television people, Dad colleagues, people from Uruguay who later continued working. Although rock people also approached because Dad was a musician and also Gabriel: they were all gross artists, who contributed to me and nourished. On the other hand, I also accompanied dad to television, to the or filming. Dad was the same in all sides: at work, in the street, at home.

Every time Carámbula refers to his beloved and remembered parent, he translies emotion in his way of speaking.

Since I lived the beginning of his illness, Parkinson’s evil. Although he was a very sociable person, that issue began to move him away. He started locking himself, to get away a little. He wasolated and spent more his time in solitude. Then I started living that next to him: it was gradual, he was increasingly keeping: he stopped working, to go out, to get together with people. Besides, That damn complicated him to play the guitar. It was a garrón for him.

-Did you play your father’s guitar to cheer him up?

-We have a little shared this to play together at a meeting and . And he saw me play with my brother, very at the beginning, when I just threw me to play because later because of his illness, everything changed. But I showed him some filming or recording, he shared them. And when I was going to visit him and he was already declined, I grabbed the guitar and started playing by his side, while he listened to me. Touching for dad was like doing it in a class for a teacher.

Returning to the present and what comes with the rock band of his life, triggers, the musician emphasizes his brother again and his desire to accompany him in the coming show in Palermo, in the month of June.

“We always invite my brother to get on stage. Hopefully come to Niceto, he told me that it would come: it would be an honor to share the space together as we did from my first time,” he says eagerly.

-Thhol, how was that time they shared a festival with Artico Monkeys?

-This was great. It happened in a stage about the art monkeys. We share a time in the backstage. I remember that I asked the drummer to light a cigarette. They were super quiet kids. And then you see them go out and break it all. That night we had a great time with them. I hope history is repeated like that. I swear we want it with all my heart.
