Julia González is Faenna, the young Huelin rapper who has earned a name in the circuit without displays or too much noise, only with her talent. This weekend, without going any further, shares a poster with Kaze, Mala Rodríguez and Tote King in the Villarobledo Rock vineyard. In July he will perform at Monegros Desert Festival with many others.

Faenna was, for example, the only rapper that appeared in the remake ‘Málaga City’ by Gordo Master.
«I am able to feel underestimated by the male part of the movement. There are injustices that I see that I get pissed off, that I cannot avoid it, but I see them in rap, I see them in my house, I see them in the neighborhood, anywhere, ”he declares with forcefulness. But flee from the expression ‘female rap’. «I always talk about what I feel like, what I need to speak, obviously from my position as a woman. There are things that are going to anger me more than a man, that I will say them more angry than a man. But I don’t think there are particular issues that are women. Each one who speaks of what he wants. That is why hip hop, in that freedom ».
But after that overwhelming security that transmits there are also weaknesses. It does not get rid of the impostor syndrome, something that for Faenna goes with the profession. “I think it’s even necessary, because apart from putting your feet on the ground, you go with the feeling that always want to improve everything and that is what makes you move forward.”
To continue growing, she studies art history at the University of Malaga in the short time between creation and tours. “I do it for pleasure, it will not feed me, but I know it will give me a lot of knowledge.” For the future, for the moment, he only asks for one: “say that I live from music.”
