Yemen’s hutis military spokesman, Yahya Sarea, announced this Sunday the imposition of an “air block” against Israel with new missile attacks against the country’s airports such as the one that has caused six injured in the vicinity of the Ben Gurion International Airport, on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
“In response to the Israeli escalation and its decision to expand their aggressive operations against Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces announce that they will work to impose a total air blockade against the Israeli enemy repeatedly attacking airports, mainly Lod’s airport, I know in Israel as Aerpuerto Ben Gurion,” Sarea said in a statement released in his telegram account.
Sarea appeals directly to international airlines to “consider the content of this statement from the moment of publication and cancel all the expected flights to the airports of the criminal enemy to protect the safety of their planes and their workers.”
The Military spokesman Hutí has also denounced the Israeli attacks “against Arab countries such as Lebanon and Syria.” “The national will does not fear confrontation and rejects submission and servility,” he concluded.
This Sunday, six people have been injured, five of them mild character due to the impact of an Hutí projectile. The most serious injured, although his life is not in danger, is a man in his 50s with trauma in the limbs. Two women, 54 and 38, were affected by the expansive wave.
The hutis have ended up confirming the authorship of their fifth missile attack against Israel in the last 48 hours and is the first time, according to Israeli military sources, that Israel’s defensive system fails to intercept these projectiles.
Companies such as Wizz Air, Air India, Air Europa, Your Airways, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, United, Air Canada and Swiss have suspended their flights for this Sunday and have begun to reprogram for next week.
