The Israel Army has killed a Palestinian on Friday in an operation carried out in a refugee camp located around Nablús, in the West Bank, hours after killing another Palestinian in an operation in the area.
The Ministry of Health linked to the Palestinian Authority has indicated in a brief message in its telegram account that man, identified as Omar Mustafa Abú Lail, 39, has been shot by Israeli forces in the ballet camp, without Israeli authorities having pronounced in this regard.
Just a few hours before he had confirmed the death of a Palestinian identified as Allah Shaukat Ahmed Ajdir, 29, in an operation in Beita, south of Nablús, where an Israeli military was seriously injured on the eve by the detonation of an improvised explosive device.
On the other hand, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry has denounced “the deepening of the aggression by the occupation against the camps (refugees) in northern Bank”, where more than 40,000 Palestinians have been displaced during the last four months.
Thus, he has criticized through a statement published in his account on social network X the announcement by the Israeli authorities about new demolitions in the Tulkarem and Nur Shamsm camps that “will be added to the hundreds of houses destroyed since the beginning of 2025”.
The Palestinian government has said that these “crimes” are “a continuation of the crimes of the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip” and “constitute a crime of war and against humanity that seeks to undermine the pillars of the national and humanitarian existence of the Palestinian people in their land and their homeland.”
The Army of Israel has increased its operations in the West Bank following the attacks executed on October 7, 2023 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian Factions, although in the first nine months of that year there had been record figures of deaths in these territories.
The Palestinian authorities have since denounced the death of more than 880 Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem from October 7, 2023, to which more than 52,400 are added the dead because of the offensive launched by Israel against the Gaza Strip after the aforementioned attacks on October 7, which left about 1,200 dead and about 250 kidnapped, according to the government of Israel.
