The Civil Guard has arrested this Sunday in the province of Cádiz, to the last of the Narcolanche Crews responsible for the death of two civil guards on February 9 of last year, when the boat in which they performed their functions was strongly stunned by it, manned by the now four detainees.
This last performance of the Civil Guard complements the arrest held last September 19 of last year on the pilot of the same, and those held on November 8 of the same year on two others of the crew.
This Civil Guard investigation is being directed by the Court of Instruction number 1 of Barbate (Cádiz).
David Pérez Carracedo, Sarriguren’s neighbor murdered in Barbate
David Pérez Carracedo, known as Bobby, was an agent of the Civil Guard and neighbor of Sarriguren, Navarra. Born in Barcelona 43 years ago, he was married to a Navarra and was the father of two children of six and nine years. Since 2011, he was destined in Navarra in the Fast Action group (GAR), with the main headquarters in Logroño.
On February 9, 2024, David Pérez lost his life with his partner Miguel Ángel González in the port of Barbate (Cádiz), when the official boat in which they patrolled was brutally rammed by a narcolanche. That night, up to six narcolancas took refuge from the storm in the port, and the bad weather and breakdowns prevented the most powerful patrols of the Civil Guard could act. Therefore, a Zodiac was sent from the group of underwater activities with six agents, including David Pérez.
The operation turned out to be an improvisation that ended in tragedy. According to the testimonies of the survivors, the Zodiac was subject to at least seven onslaught in less than three minutes. The agents, aware of the danger, tried to repel the aggression firing in the air, but the narcolanche lash outstarted, causing the instantaneous death of David Pérez and his partner.
