As of June, the YPF national oil company will begin to apply a monitoring system with which it will evaluate the rise or decline of its prices in fuels, in correlation with its sales in all its service stations in the country. The changes may be applied at any time without prior notice.
“Micropricing” It is the term by which this system is known, with which it is sought that the company be as competitive as possible before its competence.
As announced by Horacio Marín, president and CEO of the oil company, the system would begin to be used specifically on June 23, he explained:
“We are going to inaugurate on June 23 a RTIC (Real Time Intelligence Center) for service stations, which will allow us to see in real time the consumption of naphtha and diesel of all the suppliers of Argentina. Let’s say that in a town where little is consumed at night and we lose money, so we can lower the costs, generate the self -broadach and lower the prices of the gasoline. That way, we will be more profitable and people load more. ”
The last change in YPF prices took place last Thursday, May 1, when the average decrease of 4% in the price of gasoline and diesel for the entire country was announced.
