Moscow, May 8 (Xinhua) – China and Russia agreed on Thursday in Moscow to firmly defend the victorious result of world war II.
The two parties made the promise in a joint declaration on the greater deepening of the Integral Chinese Coordination Association of the New Age, which was signed today by the Chinese presidents, Xi Jinping, and Russian, Vladimir Putin.
China and Russia also promised to firmly face any act that tries to manipulate the history of World War II, defame the historical achievements of China and Russia in World War II or stain the image of Los Libertadores. The two parties strongly condemn the acts that profane or damage the commemorative monuments of the martyrs of World War II.
In the statement, the two countries described World War II as an unprecedented catastrophe in the history of humanity and pointed out that China and the Soviet Union were the main battlefields in Asia and Europe and served as pillars of resistance against militarism and fascism.
The Chinese people and the Soviet people have made great historical contributions to safeguard human dignity and restore world peace, he added.
In today’s world, China and Russia assume shared responsibility and mission to maintain a correct historical perspective on World War II and the two parties will always remember the fair feat of the two peoples in the maintenance of world peace, the statement said.
Both parties, according to the document, are committed to preventing the resurgence of Nazism against humanity and racial supremacy, and will continue to resist the glorification of the Nazis and their accomplices, the rise of neo -Nazism, the restoration of militarism, as well as the promotion of various forms of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia.
The two countries ask the International community to respect and defend the fundamental principles established by the International Military Court of Nuremberg and the International Military Court for the Far East, which are intended to prevent attempts to fight a war and commit genocide, war crimes and other crimes against humanity, the declaration said.
He added that the failures of the two courts are the cornerstones of contemporary international law and the international order, which are unwavering and do not allow any doubt.
China and Russia also agree to celebrate educational and commemorative events in various modalities.
