Havana– From several multipurpose voices today expressed the majority will of the Cuban community resident abroad to maintain the link with the country and support as long as necessary in order to contribute to the development of the nation.
For Ariel Varela Zamora, specialist in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation based in Germany and participant in the V International Conference Cuba Health 2025, contributing to the public health system in the current conditions of the country represents first of all a commitment and responsibility for compatriots in Cuba, among which are relatives, friendships and other loved ones.
In exclusive conversation with the Cuban News Agency, it considered that there is a majority will between the Cuban community resident abroad to contributing to the authorities of the Ministry of Public Health in whatever necessary to impact people’s quality of life.
He said that this is a humanistic and altruistic work that does not distinguish in terms of ideology or political issues but to fulfill the duty that contracts with the homeland and its people.
One of the priorities is to strengthen communication, to achieve the greatest desired impact on these actions and create interconnected networks because in the end we all have the same reason that is Cuba, we were born here, we have the same nation and share the same feelings for the country and its progress, he concluded.
With him, Yeneir Vera Fernández, a cardiologist and researcher resident in the Canadian city of Toronto, which highlighted the fundamental value of communication based on coordinating all the efforts made from different parts of the world and the strategic of devising a system to share information and identify common interests.
On his participation in Cuba Health 2025, he pointed out that this opens the door to dialogue on all complications and barriers when making collaborations, such as circumventing them and the more it could be done among all those involved to facilitate cooperation with other countries.

What can we do from the countries where we live to support the Cuban health system, whether depending on where we are working, be it assistance, donations, research, student exchange?
