CAMAGÜEY.- The V International Health Convention developed at the Havana Convention Palace was closed from April 21 to today, where the Camaguey delegates shared their research and knowledge with colleagues from other provinces and countries, for a feedback that leads to better health care in the territory.
Under the universal paradigm of a single health, during the five days themes such as social determinants of health, transformations into primary care, promotion policies, disease and rehabilitation control policies were addressed. As well as innovation, access and equity to health care, medical education, personalized medicine, local production of medicines, among other issues of great interest to all.
From this delegation, studies related to transfusion medicine were presented in medical training and specialization. They also discussed actions to face the aging of the population from science and technology, and the psychosocial factors of arterial hypertension, among many other topics. Dr. C Tamara Chaos Correa intervened with the experience of Carlos J. Finlay university in vocational training.
Dr.raúl Romay Buitrago and LC. Claudia Esther Romay Diego approached the treatment with Heberprot-P in complex and difficult scarring lesions.
For his part, the young Christhian José Arencibia Pagés, a third year student of this institution, discussed the effectiveness of Valergen vaccines in the treatment of asthma. It also nourished panels and conferences on technologies, and innovation as strategic input in the National Health System.
The meeting also presented the winning books of the Annual Health Prize: “Group Psychotherapy. Attitudinal change strategy, nine weeks in day hospital”, of Dr.C. Pablo Hernández Figaredo; and history of anesthesia in Camagüey, of Dr. C. Zaily Fuentes Díaz.

Debate on innovation in the face of current public health challenges
