After visiting the International Tourism Fair of Havana, the Head of State joined the event in which citizens of various nations and continents claimed the cessation of hostilities against the Caribbean country.
In addition to condemning the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Northern Nation, they also rejected the inclusion of the Antillean nation in the list of sponsoring states of terrorism, prepared unilaterally by the White House.
The concurrent ones also raised the voices in defense of the cause of Palestine and to support the movements for justice in the world, in addition to proposing actions and strategies to face the dangers that threaten humanity.
This Forum, organized annually by the Central of Workers of Cuba (CTC) and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), is held at the Havana Convention Palace, within the framework of the festivities for International Workers day.
The meeting is attended, according to the organizers, “969 friends on behalf of 269 organizations from 39 countries.”
The day is dedicated to the legacy of the historical leader, Fidel Castro, and to the 25th anniversary of the presentation to the world of his concept of revolution, and also to the celebration of the XXII Congress of the CTC and the 65 years of the ICAP.
