These conditions, if they are not diagnosed and properly treated, they can derive in significant health complications,” specialists from the Digemid drug use equipment explained.
They detailed that a key risk factor is the similarity between the symptoms of mild and severe respiratory diseases, because fever, cough, muscle pains, head and throat, chills, sweating, difficulty breathing, excess mucus and fatigue are common discomforts both in flu and cold and cold and pneumonia.
“Self -medication with antibiotics or antigripales, without a previous medical evaluation, is a common but detrimental practice, therefore, treating a your own cold can hide a pneumonia, a disease that, if it is not treated in time and properly, can trigger respiratory failure and even death,” they emphasized.
For this reason, Digemid’s specialists recommended to the population that, before any symptom of respiratory disease, he goes to the nearest health establishment.
