Madrid, May 5 (EFE) .- Spain will make an additional contribution of half a million euros to the UN High Commissioner to “increase its efforts” in the investigation of the violation of human rights and war crimes that Israel could commit in Gaza, has announced the minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares.
A contribution that the minister has advanced during his speech at the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Congress to explain the new Foreign Action Plan for the 2025-2028 period, which the Government approved on April 1.
He has insisted that the situation in Gaza “is unacceptable” criticizing Israel for taking weeks blocked the entry of humanitarian aid into the strip, which has caused the famine of thousands of Palestinians.
Urgent entry of humanitarian aid in the strip
Yesterday, Albares, as he said, demanded again the urgent entry of humanitarian aid in the strip, something necessary “to save the lives of innocent Palestinians”, ensuring that our country is prepared to continue sending help as soon as Gazatí territory can be accessed.
He has also insisted that Spain is and will be an actor committed to peace and the political solution of conflicts: “We do not renounce our voice and our principles.”
