The local establishment managed to make a total of 38 indexed scientific publications in worldwide magazines such as; Scielo, Wos, Scopus and Pubmed with studies in the areas of traumatology, critical patients and nephrology, cardiocirugia, pedRIric, infectology, gynecology and neurology.

Although, the fig trees made the same number as the Santiago health center, occupies the second place in the Pubmed ranking, because of their publications in international magazines only 33 were recognized in the search engine.

The director of the Hospital Center, Dr. Patricia Sánchez, in a ceremony held in the enclosure, recognized the work of participating professionals in different areas of scientific discovery and well -being of patients. “This demonstrates a commitment to investigate effective solutions and treatments on different issues that are concerned for public health,” said Sánchez.

Along the same lines, Cristóbal Alvarado, of the Biomedical Research Unit explained that “this milestone is important because for the first we make a very important number of publications in indexed magazines. If we do the search through Pubmed we are positioned in second place at the level. This gives us relevance because the investigations are carried out outside the work schedule, which speaks of the commitment of the medical team, work in which they have participated at least 100 Research are live benefit of our patients. ”

In addition, the professional added that “the greatest impact is that it allows to know the problems we have at the local level and how to solve them in the best way. The grace of the magazines in which we publish is that they have relevance at national and worldwide.”

One of the collaborators was the head of the Infectology Unit, Dr. Álvaro Llancaqueo, who explained the importance of publication. “The research in which I participated has to do with the study of the by Hanta Virus, the repercussions that it can have and how it can be improved in the advancement of this disease, through how it occurs, what are the factors that influence gravity, in the pathophysiological mechanisms that help us understand how we can intervene in the of the patients,” said the doctor.

However, the professional emphasized prevention. “What matters most in that case is prevention, the ideal is not having the disease, knowing the transmission mechanisms, of affectation within a of patients, once the disease could no longer be avoided, knowing how to manage it better and how to achieve therapeutic interventions that achieve a result in the patient,” he said.

Meanwhile, the head of Neurology, Dr. Freddy Constanzo, commented on the impact that his publication in the magazine Frontiers in public health called “satisfaction of the patient COVID -19 and associated factors on telemedicine and hybrid system”.

“We during the Pandemia tried to our telemmonic services to most inside and outside the region, in that context, we were contacted by a health team in the city of Adís Abeba in Ethiopia because they had a lot Through telephone call and home visit to his Covid patients and it turned out that this was superior to the face -to -face care and transfer of patients towards their center.

He also added, “we had already demonstrated it here, that’s why Ethiopia was interested in us to transfer what we already knew. Now telemedicine is a care standard, before in 2015, 2016 it was not so, but now it is a standard in public health.”

Cristóbal Alvarado added that the work published in the Medical Magazine of Chile by Dr. Hans Müller, entitled “Transition of adolescents with chronic kidney disease: a critical challenge in the continuity of care” addresses the lack of structured programs for the transition of pediatric patients to adult care. He said that also presents an innovative implemented in the fig trees that improves the continuity of care, encourages autonomy and reduces clinical complications.

Projections

The head of the Biomedical Research Unit, an area that acts as a regulatory, technical and ethical axis, which supports researchers from the protocols design to approval by the Ethics Committees and document management and, in addition, encourages the formation of new researchers, generates link with universities and international centers. He assured that without a doubt, research production has been growing.

In fact, between 2016 and 2018 only an annual investigation was made, then in 2019 5 and 2020 were carried out to , 8 investigations were conducted, the following year there was one more, in 2022 there were 12, in 2023 15 and year 38.

Now, only what goes from the year has 16 publications one in Oncology, another publication in Dentistry, 3 in the critical patient unit, 5 in nephrology and 6 in traumatology.

Among the new Hodgkin lymphoma mortality publications; Early mobilization of patients with critical care: challenges and successes; renal transplant and perspectives on malignant neoplasms; Global and regional disparities in access to specialized services in sarcoma, among others.
