The centers for the control and prevention of diseases of the United States (CDC) announced an outbreak of salmonella linked to the birds of Corral de Baspatio.

Through a statement, they reported that seven people in six states have become ill of Salmonella after coming into contact with poultry of backyard.
-Birds of Breys, such as chickens and ducks, can carry Salmonella germs even if they look healthy and clean.
People can get sick when touching the poultry of their backyard or anything in their surroundings, and then touching their mouths or food and swallowing Salmonella germs.

For this reason, CDC urges citizens to always wash their hands for 20 seconds after touching birds, their supplies or collect eggs. Also to wear shoes or special boots for your chicken coop and that, in addition, do not use them inside your home.
