The case of an alleged sexual abuse to several children of the Canada Children’s Home in Bogotá still have many doubts to solve. One of them is If the defendant has HIV and if he would have infected several children.
The complaint was made by one of the mothers of the affected minors, because Margie Espinel spoke with the newspaper Time On what his daughter had suffered, who told her that her teacher, Freddy Castellanos, used the excuse of a game to approach her and make inappropriate touching.

Espinel, who has denounced the man before the authorities, has also spoken to different means, such as Blue radiowhere he assured that two parents confirmed that children who apparently would be victims of this teacher, would have been infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
“The Lord has HIV. According to the two mothers’ version of the children, they are infected”the mother mentioned before the aforementioned media.
-Due to the severity of the complaint, the director of the Colombian family welfare Institute (ICBF), Astrid Cáceres, spoke to the same station and responded about the state of health of the accused.
According to the entity’s director, There are still no reports that Castellanos has AIDS or that some of the children have been infected with HIV, so in the following days the situation will be clarified with tests carried out by legal medicine.
Freddy Castellanos was captured on May 6 and is accused of abusing several children aged 2 and 3 in a kindergarten administered by family welfare.
On the case, the entity has reported that They will begin with the disciplinary actions that allow establishing “if in the management of the family complaint the public officials and supervisors of the contract acted according to the routes established for this purpose”.
