With the tour of the Provincial Center for Integral Evaluation and Diagnosis for people with wandering conduct, located in the Boyeros municipality, the work visit of the member of the Political Bureau and Prime minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, to Havana, began.
It is a transit institution, unique in the country, which works 24 hours and has the social function of evaluating, attending and recommending the patient’s destiny.
In this center there are three essential areas in the treatment of people: identification, social situation and clinical evaluation, which although it is a recent creation initiative, constitutes a reference for the diagnosis and adoption of immediate measures.
Mailié Rivero Guisado, Coordinator of the Center, explained that this began its operation on March 18. To date more than 600 patients have been treated.
For his part, Iris Torres Sotolongo, provincial director of Labor and Social Security in Havana, in dialogue with the press, said that this institution constitutes an experience that has shown an impact on the treatment of people with this condition, “because it is allowed to help the unprotected people of their family nucleus,” he said.
The head of Government toured the center and exchanged with managers and workers, where he investigated the protocol once the patient arrived. The incorporation to society, said Marrero Cruz, is the main objective.
He also visited the addiction service room of the Havana Psychiatric Hospital Dr. Eduardo Bernabé Ordaz where both admitted and outpatients, mostly young people are treated. Dr. Yalí López Guido, head of services of the Chamber, explained to the prime minister that in addition to the recovery and insertion to the community, his purpose is also to incorporate them into the work.
In an emotional dialogue, the prime minister knew the experiences of some young people and how much they have contributed the work that takes place here. “You are the ones who can help, with your life experience,” added Marrero Cruz.
The Electronic Electronic Comandante Camilo Cienfuegos, composed of 8 Base Business Units and two state MSMEs, aims at the construction and assembly of electronic equipment and appliances, as well as plastic utensils, investors and photovoltical pumps. This is a company that self -manages its own energy, achieved sales record in 2024 and focuses its gaze on innovation at the development of development.
So far Marrero Cruz also arrived to learn about the fundamental work in the implementation of the Government Program to correct distortions and reimprorate the economy, especially in matters such as energy transition and efficiency, the application of science and innovation and digital transformation.
During the exchange, Edel Gómez Gómez, general director, explained to the head of Government about the projects that constitute novelties, including vertical photovoltaic parks, a computer prototype for the Cuban home and the first public solera installed in Cuba that consists of photovoltaic systems with chargers for electric vehicles.
Marrero Cruz also verified the construction of the La Polar stadium in the municipality Cerro, a work that is part of the football recovery strategy, with capacity for a thousand people and the first of its kind in the country that will use solar panels, 90 in total.
Then, in the Marianao municipality, the Head of Government held an exchange with the Municipal Administration Council, where the Government Program was evaluated to correct distortions and reimpulse the economy. Housing, demographic dynamics, banking process, price control and confrontation with crime were issues analyzed.
