After two days of work, the visit of eight commissions of the National Assembly of the Popular Power (ANPP) To Guantanamo, where they evaluated the fulfillment of economic and social agreements, as well as the progress of key programs for the development of this province.
The delegation, headed by Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the ANPP and the State Council, and Homero Acosta Álvarez, secretary of both bodies, toured six municipalities to check the implementation of the X-97 Agreement, related to the government program to correct distortions and reimproof the economy in 2025, reports the Cuban news Agency.
Lazo Hernández visited the Popular Council of Cajobabo-Veguita, in the municipality of Imías, where he exchanged with the population and knew details of the museum that treasures the history of landing by Playita de Cajobabo by José Martí, Máximo Gómez and other patriots, on April 11, 1895, emblematic date for Guantanamo.
In San Antonio del Sur, also the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) toured the subsidiary of Peluvas Valley Valley of Caujerí, where it was reported on the productive plans for this year, which include the processing of tomato, mango and the diversification of pickles.
It also analyzed the situation of the plan and budget at the close of the first quarter of the current year, the affidavit campaign and tax payments and the situation of fiscal accounts and the results of the audits in 2024.
In addition, they verified compliance with Law 132 of the organization and operation of the Municipal Assemblies of Popular Power and the monitoring of the results of the first process of accountability of the delegates in the current mandate.
Another reviewed aspect was the implementation of the Rurality Attention Program in this province, characterized by its mountainous geography. The final results of the visit will be informed this day during the conclusions.
