Holguín, APR 26 (ACN) with the world premiere of “Feelings: Odyssey of the mind”, in collaboration with the Austrian choreographer Mike Loewenrosen, returns from today to Holguín the new season of coding presentations.
Vianki González Miranda, director of the company, explained to the ACN that the work will be a representation of different mood levels, reflected through the point of view of Loewenrosen, opening a new perspective to the public and inviting them to look out for forms of emotions outside the borders.
The feelings are not explained through a story, but will be shown by the dancers from the first moment, the spectators will not be distracted and can become aware of their own affective experiences, he said.
The presentations, which will be extended until day 27, will also include the “Boomerang” pieces, played by Xavienna Campos Rodríguez and Salet Aguilera Pérez, students of the elementary dance school and the Poiesis project; “The house was sold”, a version about Robert Priore’s original; and “Filters”, choreography of Vianki González.
González Miranda stressed the importance of creating pieces such as “feelings” and relating students to these, leading them to open their bodies and experiences in contemporary dance towards new styles and rhythms, such as the classic.
Mike Loewenrosen, who collaborates for the third time with Cuban companies, pointed out as an important element the work with young dancers, who still perfect their techniques, but have a discipline and delivery that directly involves them with the piece.
The presentations, framed in the celebration for International Dance Day, are the tribute offered to the dance by codce and the elementary school of art Raúl Gómez García, and have the artistic and general direction of Vianki González.
