Business Empresarial.- The Blockchain & DLT Peru Association (ABPE), in collaboration with the Government Blockchain Association (GBA), organizes the ‘first conversation about electronic vote with blockchain in Peru’. A pioneering space where the normative and technological advances that are shaped to the future of digital suffrage in the country will be analyzed, aimed at technology developers, lawyers, public officials, technologists, students and citizens interested in the future of digital democracy in Peru.
This event is held within the framework of the recent promulgation of Law 32270, which incorporates the digital vote into the Peruvian electoral system, and seeks to generate an open dialogue between authorities, specialists and the technological community on the opportunities and challenges implies its implementation.
In addition, the ‘first conversation about electronic vote with blockchain in Peru’ will allow citizens to discover the existence of technologies that guarantee democratic transparency and security in electoral processes such as Blockchain or ‘Block chain’.
The ‘first conversation about electronic vote with Blockchain in Peru’ will feature Peruvian Speakers participation, including Erick Ortiz, president of the Blockchain & Dlt Peru Association (ABPE), Blockchain Advisor in BBVA in Peru and Avalanche Ambassador; the congressman of the Republic Jorge Zeballos, promoter of Law 32270; and Roberto Montenegro, Systems Manager and Electoral Informatics of the ONPE.
The conversation will also have the intervention of international experts in electronic vote implementation with blockchain technology: Linda Hutchinson, director of Voatz; Alejandro Mandujano, director of Government Blockchain Association; Susan Eustis, Lead of Government Blockchain Association; Eugene Morozov, Devote CEO; and Ricardo Ruano, CEO of Zeyo. While moderation will be in charge of Jaddy Fernández, director of digital transformation and inclusion of women in ABPE.
The ‘first conversation about electronic vote with Blockchain in Peru’ will be held next Tuesday, April 29, 2025, starting at 8:00 pm (Peruvian time), in virtual mode.
