The municipality of Callao has announced the opening of the Italian Park, located in the urbanization Jorge Chávez I Stagewhich becomes the largest in the region. After more than three decades of waiting, this new public space will provide various recreational areas for residents, in addition to favoring the improvement of the environmental environment in the district.
The work for the improvement of urban public spaces has been awarded, with a budget that exceeds S/2.7 million, specifically S/2,789,816. This initiative reflects the commission of the commune for recovering public areas and promoting a most sustainable urban environmentthus contributing to the welfare of the community.
Italy Park: the new largest recreational lung in Callao
The new Italian park is the largest recreation space on Callao. Opened on April 25 by Mayor Pedro Spadaro, has recreational areas for children, sports areas and spaces designed for the enjoyment of thousands of neighbors.
With more than 20,000 square meters, the park includes children petsthe first of its kind in the district. “It is the largest park in all Callao. Pets will have a privileged place,” said the mayor.

The work had a budget exceeding 2.7 million soles and was executed within 120 calendar days. In addition, the park has luces LEDSerenazgo surveillance and patrol cameras 24 hours a day to guarantee the safety of visitors.
Callao drives sport with new free fields and workshops
With three sports fields, an outdoor gym and a calisthenic area, the enclosure is consolidated as a key space for the promotion of sport in Callao. “The courts will not be administered by third parties, but by the municipality itself, for free for all,” said Mayor Pedro Spadaro.
In addition, the space will offer free sports workshops in disciplines such as football, boxing and volleyball, dictated by specialized teachers. Among them, Rosa García’s participation stands out, exvoleibolista Peruvian and Olympic medalist in Seoul 1988, who will be part of the team of instructors.
