The judge who investigates the professional activity of Begoña Gómez has agreed to impute Francisco Martín, delegate of the government in Madrid, for the hiring of the Women’s Advisor of the President of the Government and has summoned him to declare on May 14. Juan Carlos Peinado argues that Martín was “the responsible and superior hierarchical of Cristina Álvarez” in his years in the General Secretariat of Presidency. First as Chief of Cabinet of Félix Bolaños and then as his successor at the head of this department. The judge raffles the current Minister of Presidency, justice and Relations with the Courts – which is afraid before the Supreme Court – and attributes an alleged crime of embezzlement of public flows to the government delegate in Madrid.
The car says that “in terms of the deviation of public flows destined for Cristina Álvarez Rodríguez, there are indications of that possible crime, however, it is not enough to perceive, to what extent the complaint, Cristina Álvarez, to develop, the work that has been entrusted and perceive the amount assigned, may have any criminal responsibility, in the alleged embezzlement.” He adds that, “the same must be said, of the complaint of Begoña Gómez who, without indications of participating in the appointment, or in the payment of the emoluments of Cristina Álvarez, limiting himself to making use of his professional services, although for personal purposes.” And he concludes that, “however, it is appropriate to admit the complaint with respect to Francisco Martín for his apparent participation in the appointment of Cristina Álvarez, for the exercise of private functions of Begoña Gómez charged to the general budgets of the State and, therefore, with funds of a public nature.”
The Government delegate in Madrid is confident that his imputation will be “at all”
The Government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, said Tuesday that he has the “very quiet” consciousness after being charged in the case against Begoña Gómez, wife of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and has trusted that everything will be “in nothing.”
He has said it in a press appearance at the headquarters of the delegation hours after Judge Juan Carlos Peinado has charged him for alleged embezzlement for his possible participation in the hiring in 2018 of the advisor of Begoña Gómez, when he integrated the General Secretariat of Presidency.
“I want to show my total will to collaborate with justice. I fully trust the judicial system and the institutions of this country. We are a social and law and I am convinced that all this noise will end nothing,” he said.
