The second Vice President and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, has criticized the “private monopoly” of the electric transport network in Spain and has insisted that Red Electrica must be public.
“Of course it has to be public, without a doubt, and the resources obtained by that transport network, I insist, which functions as a private monopoly, have to serve to reverse on the network,” the Minister of Labor has transferred in an interview in ‘La Cafetera’ collected by Europa Press.
The second vice president has also indicated that Spain needs a public energy agency, since energy in Spain is in the hands of “very few companies”, which functions as a “authentic oligopoly”, whose objective is to distribute “dividends” and not “the common good.”
Therefore, it has insisted that it should be “democratized energy” and betting on renewables, since they are “green, ecological and cheap” energies, discarding “absolutely expired bets” and more typical of “Trump” that generate CO2 emissions.
“Energy has to be at the service of general interest as a mandate our Constitution and insist, not focused on the distribution of the dividends of administration counselors and counselors,” he said.
