Rockstar has announced the launch date of Grand Theft Auto 6.
The expected open world game was planned by the end of 2025, but the study has confirmed that we will have to wait another year to play it.
This is what Rockstar has indicated in his statement: “We feel very much that [GTA 6] I arrived later than you expected. The interest and expectation that a new Grand Theft Auto has raised has been a lesson of humility for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and your patience while we work to finish the game. ”

He adds that “with each game we have launched, the goal has always been to try to overcome your expectations and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to offer you the level of quality you expect and deserve.”
GTA 6 was officially announced in December 2023 with expected date by 2025. A year ago, in May 2024, it was indicated that it would arrive in autumn of 2025, also maintaining this date also during the last presentation of quarterly results in February this year.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be launched on May 26, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
