WhatsApp would be testing the incorporation of eight new emojis in its version for Androidwhich are already available on iPhone.
Among them is a face tired of dark circles, which expresses fatigue or emotional exhaustion in humor and close. A fingerprint emoji is also includeduseful in contexts related to identity, security or access.
The emoji of the tree without leaves is usually associated with winter, sterility or environmental themes. For its part, the emoji of the tuber expands the collection of food symbols and can be used in conversations about gardening or kitchen.
Another addition is the Emoji of the harp, which can evoke both classical music and elements of Irish culture, depending on the context. The shovel, practice and versatile, is ideal for referring to gardening, excavation or physical effort tasks.
The splash emoji provides an expressive visual resource, frequently used to represent disorder, creativity or even chaos in a metaphorical sense.
Finally, The Sark flag is added, a small island belonging to the Canal Islandsallowing more precise conversations from a geographical or regional identity perspective.
Although these emojis could already be visualized when receiving them from iOS devices or by alternative keyboards compatible with Unicode 16.0, they were not available directly from the emojis keyboard integrated in WhatsApp for Android, according to Wabetainfo.
The same portal indicates that these emojis are currently in the Beta WhatsApp Beta 2.25.15.6 version.
WhatsApp Beta is the proof version of the popular instant messaging applicationdesigned for users who want to access before the rest to new functions still in development.
When part of the program, participants can try unpublished tools, experience changes in the interface and send errors reports, thus helping to improve the service before their official launch.
This modality is available for both Android and iPhone devices, although with differences in the registration process.
In the case of Android, users can join the beta program accessing the official site on Google Play.
If there are available quotas, just press the ‘Become Tester’ option and then update the application from the store to start using the beta version. When the program reaches its participant limit, Google shows a message indicating that no more testers can be accepted at that time.
For iOS, the process is managed through the testflight platform, used by Apple to distribute application test versions. First you must download the testflight app from the App Store.
Then, if there are vacancies, you can enter through the official WhatsApp link in TestFlight.
Once the invitation is accepted, the user can install the beta version directly from that platform. Unlike Android, access in iOS is much more limited and usually runs out quickly.
Despite its advantages, WhatsApp Beta also presents some disadvantages. Being a non -definitive version, it may contain operation errors, unexpected closures and compatibility problems.
Some functions could be incomplete or not operate correctly. In addition, users must face frequent, sometimes daily updates, which can modify the behavior of the application without prior notice.
Although security remains guaranteed by end -to -end encryption, beta versions can expose failures not detected for being in the test phase.
The beta program is completely voluntary. At any time, both in Android and iOS, you can leave the program and return to the stable version by downloading it again from the official application store.
