Grand Theft Aut VI is delayed until 2026
In the morning of last Friday, Rockstar Games announced that the launch of the tan Desired GTA VI will be delayed until May 26, 2026.
Initially planned for 2025 – without a specific date – and subsequently announced for autumn that year, the most anticipated title of the franchise will add an additional year of development.
“Grand Theft Aut VI will launch on May 26, 2026. We regret a lot that its launch was delayed with respect to the expected. […] In each game we have launched, the goal has always been to overcome their expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception, ”reads the message posted on the Rockstar website.
A long wait for the Grand Theft Auto 6
Since the publication of the first trailer on December 4, 2023, details about the game have been scarce. What is known with certainty is that the story will be developed in Vice City and will have Lucia, the first female protagonist of the saga.
For its part, its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto V, continues to demonstrate its validity. Despite having been released in 2013, it recently positioned itself as the most watched game on Twitch in 2024, accumulating more than one billion hours of visualization.
For now, it only remains to wait. If Rockstar Games has demonstrated over the years, their releases are usually worth it. And Gta VI, with his promise to break schemes once again, does not seem to be the exception.
