Apple is working with Anthropic to develop a new programming tool promoted by artificial intelligence (AI) of the Claude model, which will integrate Xcode programming software to write, edit and test code.
Xcode is the ‘software’ offered by US technology to develop, test and distribute applications for all Apple platforms and, now, aims to improve the experience of developers by introducing options promoted by AI.
In this sense, Apple has been associated with the Anthropic company to integrate the Claude Sonnet model into a new version of the Xcode software, with which developers can use this technology to write, edit and test code.
This has been shared by sources related to the project in statements to the journalist of Bloomberg Mark Gurman, who have clarified that, for the moment, Apple plans to launch this updated ‘software’ internally internally, with the possibility of launching it publicly in the future.
In this way, by integrating Claude’s capabilities, Apple intends to improve the internal workflow when it comes to accelerating the development of products and the coding process. To do this, developers can write code requests in a chat interface and, after that, the AI will offer results based on what is requested.
Also, Xcode will also facilitate the developers to test user interfaces with new applications, as well as help manage the error search and correction process, as the sources have explained.
With all this, it is another Apple association with an AI company to boost its products, since it currently has chatgpt (Openai) integrated into its services. Following this line, he has recently negotiated the integration of the Google Gemini assistant to iPhone phones.
