President Gustavo Petro rejected the murder of the union and militant leader of the Colombian Colombia Walberto Quintero political movement, a crime that attributed the Gulf Clan’s armed group.
In his account of the social network X, the president ordered a total offensive against the illicit businesses of that structure and his property, while assuring that he does not admit blackmail.
Likewise, the ruler of a message released before by the senator was echoed by the Gloria Flórez Historical Pact, who also repudiated the event.
The congresswoman described Quintero as a fighter for social causes, labor and human rights and a firm defender of her communities.
As part of its pronouncement, Petro reported that during this day a special meeting will be held to deepen the offensive against the Gulf Clan.
He commented that the replacement of crops in the Catatumbo region, in the northeast, is essential to achieve peace.
“Violence in the Caribbean is around the ports and extortion. I have decided to change the entire administration of the ports,” he added in his tweet.
-On the other hand, he asked citizens with information to find the heads of the criminal organization and asked the Prosecutor’s Office to form a special team to legally treat those who within that group choose to abandon weapons.
The president held the Gulf clan for yesterday for the murder of 27 police and military in the last two weeks in the country, so he oriented to redouble the current offensive against that criminal group.
Through a message posted on his account of the social network X, the president disclosed the name of the 27 dead uniformed, whom he described as children of the people.
