MADRID 2 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, has condemned the “attack” perpetrated this Friday against a ship of the Fleeta de la Libertad that sailed with help towards the Gaza Strip, pointing out that “apparently” was the work of the Israeli forces and confirming that two Colombian journalists traveled on board.
The journalists Alejandra Cuellar and Diana Carolina Alfinso, of the newspaper Red, were on the ship ‘Conscience’, allegedly reached by drones this Friday morning when she sailed in international waters off the coast of Malta. According to Petro, there is “possibility of sinking.”
“Solidarity is the maximum expression of the human being, the attack on human solidarity is from Nazis,” the Colombian president has denounced on social networks, who has confirmed the mobilization of diplomatic services in Italy and Malta before the emergency.
The Colombian Foreign Ministry, on the other hand, has indicated in a statement that the objective is to “find the whereabouts and provide assistance” to the two journalists, who will “return to the country in the coming days”, although in this note the alleged Israeli responsibility is not alluded to that Petro has wielded.
