MOSCU.- The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, said that, despite the current conflict, the reconciliation between Russia and Ukraine is an inevitable process that will depend solely on the passage of time. This was stated in an interview with the journalist Pável Zarubin.
«It seems to me that it is inevitable, despite all the tragedy we are living now. It takes time. Yes, it’s a matter of time, ”said Putin.
For his part, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov, said this Saturday that Russia is testing kyiv’s disposition to sustainable and lasting peace with his proposals for high fire. However, Ukraine shows a lack of will to respond directly to truce proposals, using ambiguous statements and breaking his promises.
Thus, the leader of the kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelenski, has rejected the initiative of the Russian president to declare a stop the fire during the days of the 80th anniversary of Victory day, from May 8 to 11. Previously, the Ukrainian forces infringed 4,900 times a truce agreement on the occasion of Orthodox Easter, between April 19 and 21.
In March, Russia and the US agreed to suspend the attacks on the energy infrastructure of Russia and Ukraine for 30 days. kyiv publicly expressed his support for the truce, which should be applied as of March 18, but from the first day he began to ignore his obligations and continued his bombings.
