The National Meteorological Service issued two alerts, the first one for storms and the second for strong winds. The coverage area for possible storms covers the provinces of Corrientes, Santa Fe, Chaco, Formosa, Buenos Aires and La Pampa. While the wind will hit the provinces of Mendoza, Neuquén, Río Negro and Chubut.
Storm warning
Yellow:
The area will be affected by storms, some locally strong. They are expected to be accompanied by electrical activity, occasional hail, bursts and abundant water fall in short periods.
Accumulated precipitation values of between 30 and 70 mm are expected. being able to be overcome in a timely manner.
Wind alert
Yellow:
The area will be affected by winds in the western sector with speeds between 35 and 60 km/Hy bursts that can reach 85 km/h.
Recommendations
- Do not get the garbage. Remove objects that prevent water from draining.
- Avoid outdoor activities.
- Do not take refuge near trees and electricity posts that can fall.
- To minimize the risk of being reached by lightning, do not remain on beaches, rivers, lagoons or pools.
- Be attentive to the possible hail fall.
- Inform yourself by the authorities. You always have an emergency backpack with flashlight, radio, documents and telephone.
