Lana Del Rey may be in her country era, but she seemed to be embracing something a little more fantastical with her look for the 2025 Met Gala red carpet.
The “Henry, Come On” singer arrived to the fashion event wearing a fit from the Valentino Vertigineux Haute Couture collection, designed by the brand’s new creative director, Alessandro Michele, who walked the carpet side-by-side with the singer.
Del Rey’s look was composed of a black velvet bodice and brown satin skirt, with a panel of floral lace decorating the back, and a black bow attached to the left shoulder.
The best part though was Del Rey’s bow, which featured giant black feathers arching behind her, nearly resembling wings, making her look like a mythical creature as she walked the red carpet.
This is not Del Rey’s first rodeo on the Met Gala red carpet. Just last year, the Grammy-nominated singer looked like something straight out of a fairy tale, with a woodsy McQueen dress that was composed of sandy sheer material which swirled around her and was held up by branch-like materials.
In the past, Del Rey has always managed to make a statement on the Met Gala carpet. For the “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” the singer sported a dramatic dress that featured a heart-shaped, sword-pierced brooch and a wing-covered headpiece. For her first visit, in 2012, Del Rey went a little more understated in a silver mirror-like dress—but she still added a touch of drama thanks to a sheer black cape.
