Two people have been arrested, one in Madrid and another in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona), accused of having shot dead the owner of a bar of the neighborhood of the Barcelona Poble Seco last December, in an alleged adjustment of accounts on commission.
A man in the Christmas Eve of 2023 at the Casa Catracha Bar in the neighborhood of the Poble Sec in Barcelona and shot the owner of the 32 -year -old place, who was sitting at a table and who died almost in the act as a result of the attack.
Once the crime was committed, he fled the area on a motorcycle driven by a second person who was waiting for him.

Following this, the Mossos d’Esquadra opened an investigation to clarify the facts and try to identify and detain the authors of the crime, with the main hypothesis that it was a murder in charge of an adjustment of accounts.
-As published today by the newspaper of Catalonia, the deceased was related to drug bands and the investigation is still open to determine the possible connections of the suspects with some criminal group that would have commissioned the crime.
After six months of investigation, the Civil Guard identified the suspects who were recently arrested in two operations in their respective places of residence, adds the newspaper.

He also details that researchers have found a connection with a crime committed against a man in a carbon bar (A Coruña) in December 2024, and that it was carried out with a very similar modus operandi.
In the crime that occurred in Galicia, two men with the covered face entered the premises and fired mortally against the owner of the bar, very similar to the happened in the Poble SEC, which made the Generalitat police transfer their information to the Civil Guard.
