-The framework of Autonomous Commercial Measures (ATM) allowed to liberalize the commercial flow between the EU and Ukraine since June 2022, months after Moscow began the war of aggression against Ukraine.
The rapporteur of the Eurocamara report, the Swedish liberal Karin Karlsbro, stressed that the steel industry is the “spine” of the Ukrainian economy and continues to generate income despite being affected by bombing and losing many workers who abandoned the plants to go to the front.
In addition, he has warned that support for Ukraine “is not charity” but a “mutual exchange” that “strengthens” both this country and the European Union itself. The European Commission, in fact, works in a “long -term” solution to strengthen and stabilize commercial relations between the two regions.
