The Israeli army has ordered this Sunday the evacuation of the ports of Ras Isa, to the Hudeida and the Salif, in Yemen“urgent”, calling the population to move away from them until again notice, in advance of an attack in these locations.
“Because the Hutí terrorist regime uses sea ports for their terrorist activitieswe urge everyone present in these ports to evacuate them and stay away from them for their own safety until new notice, “says the statement released by the spokesman in Arabic of the Armed Forces, Avichay Adraee.
When Israel attacks the ports will be the Third wave of bombings launched against Yemen this weekafter Tuesday attacked the Saná airport and other positions near the Yemeni capital and, Monday night, bombard the port of Al Hudeida with the United States. This last attack caused at least four dead and dozens of injured, according to Yemeni authorities.
On Tuesday, May 6, Israel similarly ordered the immediate evacuation of the Saná Airport, for moments later to launch a series of attacks against their facilities also claiming their use by the Hutis rebels. After the attack, the Armed Forces said they left it “unusable.”
Trump orders to stop the attacks on Yemen
These attacks occurred in response to the launch by the hutis of a ballistic missile to Israel that managed to impact around the Ben Gurion International Airport, near Tel Aviv, on May 4.
These new Israeli evacuation orders arrive after the president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on Tuesday that his country was going to stop the attacks in Yemen since the hutis had “capitulated” and did not want to fight anymore.
The announcement of the American president surprised at Israeli government, which had not been previously informed of Trump’s intentions, as recognized shortly after Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, in an interview with El Diario Yediot Ahronot.
