Request the urgent call of the Crisis Committee for Water Emergency on July 9

The UCR Council of Councilors presented in the Honorable Deliberative Council a project of resolution required to the Executive Department, headed by the Mayor María José Gentile, the immediate call of the Crisis Committee, within the framework of the serious water situation that affects the entire district.

The order responds to the alarming lack of maintenance of channels, drains and rural roads, which, added to the heavy rains of recent months, has caused flooding, isolates and the suspension of classes in several educational establishments, violating basic rights such as education and access to essential services.

While the interior communities suffer impassable paths and risk of being isolated, the local Executive has not implemented concrete containment measures or activated the mechanisms planned for emergency situations.

“It is urgent that the municipality, through the crisis committee, coordinate with provincial authorities, plan preventive actions and immediate assistance. The project indicates that the measures adopted and the evolution of the water scenario are reported.
