TUAMBIA interrupts its operations in Cuba as of May 1

The Cuban Electronic Commerce Platform Tusambia announced that interrupts its operations as of May 1, 2025, ceasing to accept new orders through its website.

Through an statement published in its Facebook profile, the company informed that the decision has been “very difficult, but necessary”, due to the complex economic context that has made it unfeasible to continue operating sustainably and with the expected quality standards.

“We want to tell you that, as of May 1, 2025, Tuambia has interrupted its operations and new orders can no longer be made on our website,” says the message addressed to its customers.

However, the company said that all orders made until April 30 will be delivered within the established deadlines, and that its customer service will continue active the closing to resolve any incidence.

Tuambia allowed for years to send products to Cuba from abroad, becoming a frequent option for relatives and emigrants who wanted to supply their loved ones on the island.

In its , the company thanked the support received and shared some outstanding figures: more than 1.2 million deliveries made and more than 360 thousand Cuban homes served.
